This is a really interesting postcard. After doing my research I discovered that this was the first original type of postcards that were sent. They were very thin card and when they were printed the stamp was also printed on the card as part of the design. Unlike the stamps that came later that wet and stuck on the postcard or today they have their own self adhesive backing. These postcards were first produced in the UK around 1870.
The postcard I have here was sent late 1870’s to 3 Market Place Loughborough, Leicestershire August 30th.The building is a bank and back then it was called the Nottingham and District Bank in the Market Place in Loughborough Leicestershire.
